Styleweek S17: One for the Books

Providence, RI also affectionately recognized as “The Creative Capital” is the home of the extraordinary Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and some of the most noteworthy talent.  It’s no wonder that New England’s premier fashion week: STYLEWEEK North East has been killing the fashion and entertainment scene since 2009!  The three night fashion showcase hosted its 17th production season Thursday September 19-Saturday September 21st.  From their new event space in the Rhode Island Convention Center (cue the Jefferson’s theme song) to the new and veteran STYLEWEEK designers, this season was by far one for the books.

Each night kicked off with a cocktail hour and accessory showcase. The award winning  Uniquely Chic Vintage curated two VIP lounge sections in the showcase that gave me royal, gothic barbie vibes. I loved it.  Every designer and partner showcased had uniquely designed displays, my favorite being Kent Stentson’s shop on wheels.

The three night event featured designers from all over the east coast and even the midwest!

I can go on and on about each designer and my favorite highlights, but then this post would be pages long (and who wants to read all that?) So instead, I’ve compiled all of my thoughts into two cute and quirky “review” videos currently up on my YouTube channel. I hope you enjoy them!

  1. I’m really enjoying the theme/design of your blog. Do you ever run into
    any internet browser compatibility problems?
A small number of my blog visitors have complained about my site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome.
Do you have any ideas to help fix this issue?
